We fished local offshore waters today where we scraped up a mixed bag of yellowtail, dorado, and bluefin tuna. In the morning conditions looked great and were going from stop to stop, finding kelps, and seeing good schools of bluefin. In the afternoon, the wind came up making it tough to get anything located. The highlight of the day had to be when we ran across a school of bluefin in the 100-150 pound range and they put on quite the show. Even though the tuna seemed to boil and jump out of the water on every bait without a hook, they just wouldn't eat the right ones. All things considered, everyone aboard had a great time and we can't wait to do it all again next year.
