Channel Islands Sportfishing
With the sun shining and a south swell rolling in, today was an exciting day for the Western Outdoor News Shootout. With 5 of our sportboats participating and 10 private boaters, the landing was bustling with anglers on an exotic finding mission. The Aloha Spirit came in first place with a nice WSB weighing in at close to 25lbs. Halibut were the stars of the tourney with the first place private boater fish weighing it at 36lbs on our IGFA scale. Over 20 grand worth of prizes were raffled off including Seeker Rods, Avet Reels, Mustad Hooks and a 2012 4 Stroke 150 Mercury outboard (valued at $14,950.95). Overall it was a great tourney with great people and awesome sponsors. We look forward to next years 5th annual Shootout and all the action it brings. The Coral Sea did not participate in the Shootout was on an outer island fishing trip targeting big white croakers. They scored 21 WSB up to 40lbs and ended the day with 20 happy anglers. Ciscos has the fishing adventure for everyone, call the landing today to book your spot or simply reserve online. LETS GO FISHING!
