Salmon fishing is "Red Hot" for the New Sea Angler, July 2nd & 3rd, 2012

Rick Powers called in with this report for fishing aboard the New Sea Angler for July 2nd & July 3rd, On July 2nd, 20 anglers caught 26 Salmon to 25 lbs. On Tuesday July 3rd, 19 Anglers took 29 Salmon to 26 lbs. Fishing was done trolling off Bird Rock. On Tuesday's trip we probably had 60 hook ups when we got 29 fish. Fishing is excellent, weather is running about 15 knots and it sounds like conditions will improve for Wednesday & Thursday. Fishing is pretty much red hot.

Twenty anglers took 26 Salmon to 25 lbs. all taken trolling. The average fish was 12 to 14 lbs., with lots of fish in the high teens and low 20's. Rick Powers called in with this update for the New Sea Angler Trips on the June 28th, 29th & 30th, "On Thursday June 28th, 28 anglers took full limits of Rockfish, that's 280 Rockfish, 12 Lingcod to 13 lbs. and 4 Salmon to 19 lbs. On Friday June 29th, 37 anglers took 370 Rockfish plus 16 Lingcod and 132 Dungeness Crabs to 2.5 lbs.
