Fishing at Lower Otay Reservoir was very good, the largest fish was an 11.25 LMB

Lower Otay Reservoir Staff
As of June 16th the Bluegill bite was very good, Crappie was good, Largemouth good and Catfish bite was picking up. Kevin Dale of El Cajon caught a nice 11.25 lb. Largemouth on plastics, see photo above.
On June 17th of Bluegill were still biting in Harvey's Arm. Crappie bite was good and several catfish were caught in the 8 to 10 lb. range at the Rock Pile and in front of the Rowing pier on nightcrawlers and mackerel.
On June 20th lots of 20 to 25 fish stringers of Bluegill were reported. The catfish bite was good if you knew where to look. The best bait were either chicken liver,anchovies or mackerel.
