Pacific Queen is starting the 1st 1.5 Day Trip to the tuna grounds with 30 Yellowtail on the deck

Drew Card called in on Saturday morning, "We are having a nice day on the water here. We have 30 Yellowtail so far for our morning. We see Yellowtail on almost every kelp. A couple kelps we haven't seen as many but we're seeing Yellwotail. I actually see a little bit of tuna on the one we are on but we haven't got a bite yet on the Bluefin.
"We seeing and catching a little bit of Yellowtail. We're having a good day, the weather is a little choppy but it isn't terrible.
"We'll be running 1.5 Day Trips every other night starting tomorrow night, Sunday night, Tuesday night, Thursday night & Saturday night. If you're interested, call Fisherman's Landing at 619-221-8500. Or sign up at our website Pacific Queen Website. We'll check in later and let you know how we fair for the day, as of now we are having a great day."

6-23-2012Drew Card checked in with this update on the Pacific Queen, "Saturday afternoon we ended up with a pretty fair day down here. We pretty much stayed busy most of the day. We ended up with 39 Yellowtail & 2 Bluefin Tuna. Our biggest Yellowtail today was about 35 lbs. or so we haven't weighed it yet but it's in that 35 lb. range. The Bluefin were right around 20 lbs.
