We arrived at the Rocks just after 0800 this morning. It didn't take long for the yellowtail to find us and before I knew it we had a dozen or more bent rods. Most of the yellows are good grade with a few throw backs mixed in. Cris Cornette had the biggest forktail of the day going just over 44 pounds on his hand scale. We ended up with daily limits for all 30 passengers. Also, there was fair sign of tuna around this place and we managed to capture seven yellowfin up to 50 pounds. Cris Cornette had the heartbreak of the day when he lost an easy 100+ pound tuna after a two hour battle on 40# test. The hook just finally ripped out. There's always next time Cris. We are going to spend the night here on the anchor and try to do it all again tomorrow.

Around noon, we decided to put it on course for the Rocks to try our hand at yellowtail and tuna for a couple of days. Our ETA is 0800 tomorrow morning.wish us luck.......... Read More

The Avet Reels/Soft Steel group has a good mix of regulars and new anglers who are all here for the same reason; they all love to fish. We are currently headed south in choppy weather coming up with a game...... Read More
