Channel Islands Sportfishing
The conditions are ripe and the white seabass plump. Captain Shawn Steward once again put his anglers on a few lunker white seabass today along with some mix rockfish and barracuda. The overnight boats had some good shallow water action with the Seabiscuit putting a WSB on deck while the Mirage was busy putting the gaff to the flat fish with 3 outer island barn-doors put on deck. The Sea Jay and Island Tak had good calico fishing with a few barracuda coming out to play as well. The Ranger 85 is returning from a bust 2-day trip sacking close to 600 rock cod followed by a solid count of lingcod and a couple ocean whitefish. The Gentleman and the Erna B were out on ? day trips an ended up with a variety of cod, calicos, sheephead, sculpin and blue perch. With some beautiful weather ahead this weekend and the water temps holding, there is no better time to fish the Channel Islands out of Cisco's landing.
