Bass were the featured fish this week at Lake Skinner

The weather was great this weekend at Lake Skinner with temperatures in the 80's for the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival. Successful anlers were catching a variety of fish.
Largemouth bass was the fish of the day, hitting on any the of plastic or live worms around Launch Ramp 1. Stripers were active for boats over by the dam. They were hitting on chicken liver. Catfish and Bluegill are slowly showing themselves over by the inlet and the dam. They are hitting chicken liver, mealworms, wax worms and live crickets.

The fishing was good this week at Lake Skinner
Lake SkinnerThe weather was beautiful at Lake Skinner this week, with temperatures in the mid 70's. Memorial weekend brought many happy anglers. Experienced anglers and new anglers all seemed to catch something, whether it be a largemouth Bass or Bluegill or Crappie. The largemouth Bass are still active over around Launch Ramps 1 and 2, hitting on nightcrawlers and plastic worms. It was a beautiful week at Lake Skinner with temperatures in the mid 80's. The lack of cloud cover made for perfect weather for the Solar Cup event. Having said that, Largemouth Bass were active in the shallower waters. They were hitting on nightcrawlers and rubber worms. Many happy anglers reeled in Bluegill between launch ramp 1 & 2. Bluegill were hitting on plastic grubs, mealworms and crickets. Catfish have started to show temselves over in Catfish...... Read More
