Tuna in sight! Yellowtail -Barracuda-Bass mix continues.

Yellowtail are still making a good show at the Coronado Islands with Barracuda and Sand Bass showing increasing numbers daily. Half-day fishing continues to be a good mix of Calico Bass and Rockfish. With Bluefin Tuna and Albacore on the horizon many boats are setting sights on scheduling offshore trips.

This weekend is a Friends of Rollo Kids Fish Free Weekend! The SAN DIEGO'S 3/4 day trip had great fishing again at the Coronado Islands. 34 anglers landed 38 Yellowtail, 22 Barracuda and 3 Calico bass. The Yellowtail are mostly biting fly-lined sardines and surface iron with some yo-yo iron fish. 3/4 day trips depart daily at 5:30am. The New Seaforth's half day trips had very good mixed bag action for Calico Bass, Sand Bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Half-day trips depart daily at 6am and 12:30pm.
