The last couple of day's gave me the impression while fishing offshore that we where fishing on an eight or ten day trip in the fall. We had good tuna and Dorado jig strikes, we found both species on kelps, along with our lone kelp paddie wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna under porpoise. The tuna we caught yesterday where not the size we target under porpoise schools in the fall but nice 18-30 pound fish that at times gave us wide open action for short periods of time making for a productive day of offshore fishing complimented by limits of Dorado.

With a beautiful catch of excellent grade yellowtail aboard and our limits of Dorado along with a good catch of the school size tuna it was time to head out to Alijos and try for a few trophy's in hopes of some action on the better size Yellowfin Tuna. We arrived this morning at 0700 and are currently sitting on the anchor waiting for some current to get this party started, we will report back in the morning with the results of our first day hear at Alijos Rocks.

We found Dorado and even a WAHOO on various kelp paddies giving us the impression their could be that needle in the hay stack that we are always trying to find while offshore fishing. With the water temperature in the...... Read More
