The bluegill bite is still on at Westlake Pond on the Upper Westside of Santa Cruz. This is a 16-yr. and under lake, so bring the kids up for some fun. Loch Lomond has a good bluegill bite going on as well. Find the feisty little gamefish in the sunny shallow coves and the tule beds on the West side of the lake.
Trout fishing is slowing down at Loch Lomond as the water warms up. Anglers are fishing deeper to catch the planted rainbows, though some fish are hitting on the surface early in the morning.
