Royal Polaris Sportfishing Trip Update (050812)

5-9-2012
Royal Polaris Crew

FULL (050812)!!! RP Followers, We had another great day and filled the RSW tank early this morning with several nice fish over 200lbs. Jim "Chopper" Travis caught his personal best, a 232lber. Jack "Baby face" Gruschus caught his 2nd 2 at 208lbs. Gary " Welcome Back" Cotter caught his 2nd over 200 at 205lbs. Clyde "The Glide" Smith matched his record of 5 over 200lbs with a 207lb beauty. We had 20 wahoo that filled the remaining voids. From that point on, we cut off all tuna including several that were likely right at the 200lb cut off. Officially, we are now at 29 fish over 200lbs, unofficially 31 , The entire group is exhausted but has found energy to catch mackerel for the morning bite. While I use the word exhausted, it is the type of fatigue that only arises from having 9 days of truly amazing fishing days in a row. Veteran and first timer alike agree that it would be difficult to make the trip any better... While I mentioned Roy numerous times, the crew deserves like billing as Dharyl, Eddie, Jonathan, Kenny, Terrence, Anthony and James have done a tremendous job making the trip incredible for us all. By far, the RP crew excels in service, fishing knowledge and personality. It reminds me a lot of reunions of old friends who haven't seen other for some time.. Personal Notes: Cliff wanted to say hi to his kids Kayleigh and Daniel. Just so you guys know, he is having a great time and has been a great fit with the group... Marc sends his deepest love to Sherrie and he is looking forward to seeing you in a few days... "BeNt RoDs 4 LiFe"
