Channel Islands Sportfishing
Today was an epic day here at the beautiful Channel Islands. We had 10 boats get out with 180 anglers on a mission for May fishin. Our half-day boat the Speed Twin and our ¾ day boats the Gentleman and Erna B had good rock fishing with a few mean lings and sculpin in the mix. Our overnight boats the Seabiscuit and Mirage had limits style fishing for cod mixed in with some scrappy ocean white fish and a healthy serving of lingcod. Our full day boats have been sticking with the shallows and it’s paying off. The Sea Jay had 2 flatties for the second day in a row followed the Cobra and Aloha Spirit with one butt each. The Cobra skippered by Captain John Sudac put one happy angler on a 42lb barn door, thanks to the quick gaff work from deckhand Keith this flat fish made it safely to the deck. The weather is looking great for the next few days and the tides look great to match. We have open party trips tomorrow on the Cobra at 4am, the Gentleman at 6am, Erna B at 7am and the Speed Twin is on an extended half day at 8am. The Pacifi islanderr is online for an overnight trip departing at 10pm Sunday night fishing Monday and the weather is looking spectacular. Thanks for supporting CISCOs and LETS GO FISHING!
