Drew Card of the Pacific Queen takes a look at the upcoming fishing season

Drew Card
Hello Pacific Queen Anglers,
Things are starting to heat up down here in San Diego. There has been Yellowtail both at the Coronado Islands and La Jolla as well as rumors of it offshore around 200 miles from San Diego. I have also heard of jumping Blue Fin Tuna close to that 200 mile range as well as an unconfirmed rumor of Albacore. This is usually the time of year we start having to weed through the rumors, however I believe both the Yellowtail and Blue Fin signs are positive indicators of a fruitful season to come.
I am so excited that i can barely control myself. This has always been one of the hardest times of year for me, sitting back trying to be patient waiting for our offshore friends to swim through. Of course there is coastal Seabass and Yellowtail that very much excite me, but I can never wait to get offshore to hunt some Tuna. I believe we are going to have a good year offshore in 2012 and I am ready for it to start.
I have added some trips to our schedule. I filled up the month of June with trips since I think we will be making catches offshore by then. I also forgot to mention one of our multi-day trips during my last e-mail. We have a 2.5 day trip sponsored put together by Alan Kato and Daiwa. It is an early departure 2.5 day trip leaving August 26th at 1pm and returning August 29th at 6am. The trip cost $690 and is limited to 25 passengers. Meals and permits are included in the price. This has always been a great trip with a great group of guys, and it always sells out early. There are only 7 spots left so if you want to fish a lite load with a great group of guys get signed up now. If you are interested in this trip call Drew at 714-720-6973, this trip has to be booked through me.
I post our schedule earlier than most knowing that when the fish swim through our boat will be sold out. I want all of you who follow us aboard the Pacific Queen to have the first opportunity to book. You are our loyal customers and therefore we want to make sure you are able to book the trip you want first. If you wait to long there is a very good chance the trip you have been eying will be sold out, therefore act early and secure the date you want.
For all charter information give Drew a call at 714-720-6973.
