Greetings Anglers:
The new Long Range season is just around the corner and we thought it would be a good idea to re-run one of our favorite articles.
It's a time honored tradition for fathers to teach their kids to fish. Some lucky kids like T.J. Ponder have been able to share the Long Range experience with their dads. Long Range fishing is a whole different ball of wax from fishing for trout and bluegill in the local lake. There is a daunting number of different considerations from the heavier gear and bigger fish to the nuances of living happily on a boat for a week or more. T.J.'s dad Ty has written a very thoughtful and informative article detailing how they learned to enjoy the Long Range experience together. To see the actual article click on Ty Ponder article.
If you have kids who you're interested in taking out to sea with you, or if you're just interested in a good read with pictures, check this article out.
Sincerely, John Klein

Because of the cancellation of an eight day trip, we have scheduled two 2 day trips and one 2 1/2 day trip for July 2012. These are great "Bang for the Buck" trips. They don't require a lot of planning, vacation time, gear, or time away from home. They're quite affordable too. The dates are: July 13-15, July 15-17, and July 17-20. For the details, check out the Long Range Schedule on our website,...... Read More
