National Bass West Tournament Results from Lower Otay Reservoir, near record Carp caught at Otay

The National Bass West Tournament was held at Lower Otay this week. A total of 15 teams entered and they caught 72 Largemouth Bass. Chuck Miller and Geoff Pierce came in 1st with a stringer weight of 27.9 lbs. Their largest bass weighed 8.14 lbs. Mike McLemon and Jeff Wilkey placed 2nd with a stringer weight of 18.45 lbs. and their largest bass was 7.15 lbs. Herman De La Garza placed 3rd with a stringer weight of 17.49 lbs. and a large bass of 6.67 lbs. And Trevor Lincoln and Stuart Lee placed 4th with a stringer weight of 16.59 lbs and a largest bass of 5.52 lbs.
On Sunday a Carp was caught that was just short of the lake record. The fish weight in at 24.56 lbs and is pictured in the main photo above.
