Salmon time!

Channel Islands Sportfishing
Most people don't think of Southern California when they think salmon. Indeed this may be true some years but just the opposite others. Back in 1995 we saw a salmon run of epic proportions providing easy bag limits of tasty pink meat. Dirty water, cold ocean temperatures and plenty of bait around created a recipe for wide open king catching action. This year is shaping up to be a salmon season worth talking about.
Come April 7th the Department of Fish & Game is opening up salmon season for a short 3 weeks giving anglers an opportunity to put a silver runner on deck. We have already had king salmon pulled up on a few of our sportboats at many different locations across the coast and islands. The water is cold enough to keep these fish around we just need some more bait to roll in and the water to stay mucky. So far we are very excited about the prospect of a killer salmon season.
The Cobra will be running a "Salmon Special" trip starting April 7th, targeting these sought after fish. Departing at 5:30am, $80 will get you on the boat and on the hunt. Call the landing today to make a reservation as this is a limited load trip.
