Winter fishing is still doing great at Lake Morena, its Trout Season!! It's a perfect time to enjoy our wonderful facilities. Fishing remains consistent with great action reported from our anglers.
Trout; Anglers are still finding rainbow trout in 20 feet or less of water using gold Kastmaster, night crawlers, power bait, Shad raps, spinners and rapalas near the dam and Pumphouse cove. Leah Miner from San Diego fooled her 3 pounder with Pinkstink at Geezer cove. Cole and Christy Armstrong, from Lakeside corralled their stringer with powerbait. Houston Lindemann in the photo above of San Diego fooled the largest this week with his 9lb 12oz in the narrows. Tom and son Tommy Bossard from Boulevard each filled their creel with limits. According to Tom 'not a small one in the bunch'. Best bet is to rent one of our boats and work the lake.

Carp: Still splashing, they like corn and corn meal balls.

Bass: No action on the Bass lately.

Bluegill: No action on the Bluegill here lately.

Crappie: No sign of Crappie this time of year.

Catfish: If you have the Mackerel then the Cats are biting near the dam.
