Royal Polaris Sportfishing Trip Update (121811)

Royal Polaris Crew
LAST DAY WRAP UP (121811)!!! We took off for home about 11 this morning so the shows all over. Rich Couser who's had a tougher trip than some picked the wrong day to get hot since we had to leave. He got a nice Tuna on bait which was the first fish of the day and before we quit he got another Tuna on the kite and then a Wahoo. There were less than a dozen fish for the morning so he got a sizable portion of today's catch. "Uncle Kent" caught a 185 this morning which was the big fish of our last effort. Having mentioned that, I came to a startling revelation. I've done the reporting when I'm aboard for a number of years and I try to mention everyone who catches something of note. I didn't intentionally plan it this way but on this trip every single passenger made the headlines. I can't ever remember that happening before. The quality of the Tuna was astounding. A few footballs would occasionally breeze through, but for the most part if you were hooked up you could count on a tuna of at least 100 pounds or better. If the passengers on this trip would have been your average causal long ranger there would have been an amazing number of personal bests. The only thing that stopped that from happening was the fact that as I mentioned in my first report, this group collectively would add up to hundreds of years experience at this sport. Every one of the passengers has a great fish and a great story to tell about this trip. I've had fun writing these reports but with the fishing over, I will probably relieve myself from reporting duties. The three and a half day trip home will hopefully be uneventful with good weather like we are currently experiencing. There won't be much to say other than the usual "the guys are breaking down there gear, watching movies, swapping stories, etc. etc." If something more needs to be said some will fill you in. I'm going down to break down my gear, watch some movies and swap some stories. Tune in to this website always of course, but especially in Feb. when I'll be back bringing you new....
POEM FOR THE DAY:
While vacationing in Aruba
I decided that I would scuba
I spotted a fish
Bending a big brass dish
It was a Tuna tuning a tuba.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
