Ventura Landing ~ 3/4 Day REDS and Overnight LINGS
11-28-2011
Mike Thompson
Great fishing today aboard the Pacific Dawn and Island Spirit. Big reds and nice lingcod caught today! Locally, Island Spirit found itself quickly limiting out on monster reds in flat calm sea conditions. Pacific Dawn departed last night with a lite load (15), and fished shallow early catching limits of lingcod. Later in the day in about 220 feet of water, reds started coming up double! They finished the day shallow again looking for whitefish, but instead catching more lings (released), a barracuda and a couple cabezon.
Tuesday at 6AM the ISLAND SPIRIT will be departing for another 3/4 day trip with only 15 anglers. This Friday night, PACIFIC DAWN departs for an open overnight trip.
