Catch of the Week: John Young from Ventura, CA brings in a 3 lb. Alper's Rainbow Trout on Garlic PowerBait along the South Shore.

Derby News: There are 207 entrants in the Ambush at the Lake fishing derby and 40 fish 14" or longer registered into the drawing for $6,000 in resort prizes.

Weather: As you can see we have had some flurries here but it has not been windy or that cold. Through the close of fishing season November 15th beyond today the prediction is highs in the 50's, evening lows in the 20's and partly to mostly sunny skies. Tactics/Bait: The lake is producing 3+lb. fish and full stringers in this colder weather. Night Crawlers and PowerBait are the most popular baits this week. Trolling very deep with NeedleFish or Thomas Bouyants at 4 or 5 colors. Locations to try are the Inlet, Outlet, North Shore, South Shore, Creek, Jetty, Handicap Pier and Hangman's Tree.

Here is a list of other baits/lures that can be productive: TroutKrilla, Trout Teasers, Midges, Panther Martin, NeedleFish, Thomas Bouyants, Green Wooly Booger, White Mini Jig and PowerBait.
