WHAT A DAY (110311)!!! Hello everyone;
Our weather today was just beautiful, with flat seas, clear skies, sunny and warm. It was a shorts and tee's day. The weather was not the only thing that was hot. We had an epic day, with limit style fishing on Yellowtail and Yellowfin tuna.
The Yellowfin started biting around 10:30, and didn't stop until 15:00 hours. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 18 to 25 pound range, with some smaller one's in the 12 to 15 pound category. This was one of the best single day catches of Yellowfin this season. The Yellowtail were just beautiful fish, with most of them in the 18 to 25 pound range. We caught a handful of Grouper, Pargo, and one Dorado.
Our passengers are just beat after todays work-out. We had an excellent Yellowtail dinner tonight, prepared by Brett Wilkinson. It was one of the best Yellowtail dinners we have had on the R/p.
We will continue to move south, trying our luck at Wahoo tomorrow, then may be make a tank or two of Mackerel tomorrow night.
