Fish Report for 10-27-2011
Puerto Morelos has been closed because of the Hurricane Rina System
10-27-2011
Larry Edwards
The Port has been closed for most of the week due to the Hurricane Rina System building and slowly moving into the area with big seas,
lots of wind and too much rain. We have been unable to get an updated report from this area for several days, (computers are down)
but we have been tracking the system. As of this A.M., Rina is still a hurricane but expected to be downgraded to a Tropical Storm later today as the storm heads direct for Puerto Morelos/Cancun area. By late Friday, the storm should pass through the area and then is projected to make a 180 degree turn and head back where it came from as she diminishes to a Tropical Depression rating. The way things are shaping up for this area my best "guestemate" would be no fishing
for another 4-5 days.
