Lingcod Report:
The 10 hr Long Range trip to Purisma Pt. on Sunday, October 23 had 72 legal lings for 43 anglers! The count was rounded off with limits including 10 Cabezon, 258 Bolina, 86 Reds, and 76 assorted rockfish. This week has continued with limits for all anglers whether it is a 1/2 Day, 3/4 Day, or Full Day trip. Weekends tend to run with full boats, but the weekdays run with light loads. Our rockcod trips will be continuing through December 31st.

Albie Update:
Sunday, October 23 the Pacific Queen unloaded 11 anglers and 11 albacore. They got word of a yellow fin bite off San Diego and headed back to their homeport."Maybe next year",is the albacore mantra once again.

BIG LING CONTEST

9/1/11 through 12/31/11

Our Big Ling Contest started on September 1st. On Sunday the 4th, we got 3 beautiful fish to start us off. Our current leaders are:

1st place Guy Leo of San Jose 26# 4 oz
2nd place William Chong of Cerritos 19#
3rd place Brad Hudson of Bakersfield 18# 12 oz

The contest is open to any paying customer fishing on our boats and your ticket is the only cost required for your entry fee on that trip.

2272 ling cod have been caught this 2011 season!

Albacore Trips Our first albacore trip is scheduled to leave Friday, October 7th at 8PM and will return Sunday October 9th at 8AM. For the first two weeks we have scheduled 1 1/2 day trips leaving on Friday, Sunday and Wednesday nights and one overnight trip on Tuesday night returning Wednesday night.
