Lake Sabrina closes for the Season
10-23-2011
Rick, Patti, Juanita and Jerrod
LAKE SABRINA BOAT LANDING IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. WE'LL OPEN APRIL 28TH 2012 @ 7:00AM
Well, this is it - the last report of the season - and what a season it was. We'd like to THANK YOU, ALL - we have the best customers! And THANK YOU to all your local papers that carry our weekly fishing reports - especially the INYO REGISTER - you are the GREATEST - and can't forget WESTERN OUTDOOR NEWS - and the fishing wouldn't have been anything without the GREAT stocking from the DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME - and then there was SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON for keeping the Lake pretty much full - THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU!
The weather and catching at the Lake continues to be unbelievable with temperatures in the mid-60s with slight breezes and lots of limits coming from the Lake, but temperatures are about to change - by Tuesday, the highs are expected to be in the mid-40s - now that sounds more like Brown fishing. Be sure to check www.weather.gov and enter ASPENDELL, CA on the site and it will give you a fairly good hint at the weather or check in with Howard at www.Mammothweather.com.
We have a new addition to the family - Agent Ninety-nine or A.N.N. for short. She's a Border Collie - McNab mix - She came from a ranch down in Lone Pine and her sister is a short ride away at Bishop Pack Outfitters - the pack station up at North Lake. Maxwell was a bit on the jealous side, but is warming up to her, while Lo just takes her in stride. Nimrod pretty much just stays up high and growls like a dog. It could prove to be an interesting time.
CAMPGROUNDS ARE CLOSING IN THE BISHOP CREEK CANYON - only BitterBrush stays open year around, but with NO water available at the campground.
Ended up making 228 homemade pies this year - we'll see where we end up next year. Speaking of next year - the fun will being on the last Saturday of April - the 28th at 7:00am.
Looking forward to seeing you next year!
Juanita, Rick, Patti, Bryan, Ginny & Len
