"Hello Anglers," wrote Excel skipper Justin Fleck October 9, "We found exactly what we were looking for here at the Rocks; not only a shot at a trophy tuna but a shot at a wahoo as well. Although we didn't land everything we hooked, there were some very nice fish brought aboard including three fish over the 100-pound mark.
Ryan Christianson, in the main photo lead the way with his personal best at 106.6 pounds. Ryan fooled his fish with a chunk just 50 feet behind the boat. Chris Barth had second honors with a 104 pounder, also his personal best. Al Petrovich rounded out the top three with his tuna weighing right at the 100-pound mark. We are spending the night here and will try it all again tomorrow."
