BASS
Top water action has been good. Fish are still boiling first thing in the morning. Scroungers and flukes have been working for bass but the majority of fish reported were caught on plastic worms. Dropshotting or texas rigging has been most productive. Colored plastic worms such as, morning dawn, margarita mutilator, and oxblood have been working the best. Reports of bigger fish are being caught in 25-40 ft of water. Some shad were spotted near the marina and along the north shore of the lake. Jeff Walker (in picture above) of Riverside caught a 6 lb. largemouth on a senko. (bass was released)
STRIPER
Fishermen have still been getting their limits. Cut bait such as, sardines, anchovies, or mackerel, have been most productive. Some of the stripers reported this week caught trolling white flies or spoons on leadcore, 4-6 colors out. Ernie Langit of Gardena brought in a 14.5lb striper this week.
CATFISH
Many catfish reported this week. Anchovies, shrimp, chicken liver, and night crawlers have all been working well.
PANFISH
Not as many limits were reported this week. The bluegill and redear that were reported were all caught on mealworms, crickets, or night crawlers. Few crappie reported this week.
TROUT
Trout plants will start once surface water temperature gets below 70 degrees. No trout reports as of lately.
