Soooo...last night we rolled into last trips Grouper hot spot. As luck would have, lighting did not strike twice...oh well. We spent a beautiful night on the anchor and awoke to beautiful weather, and once again, it was hot. After looking around the shallows for some sign of Yellow-tail we decided to get back out to the yesterdays area where we had porpoise with tuna and kelps with Dorado. We found kelps loaded with Dorado that we already have a plentiful amount of on the boat. We did our best to bypass those in search of some tuna fish. With little success in the tuna department and an increase in wind and sea state, we opted to return to the shallows in search of Yellowtail. Upon arrival, we found exactly what we were looking. Once we came tight on the anchor, it was game on. All the guys fishing the surface iron were instantly bit on good grade Yellowtail and those fishing the heavy jig had one on as well. Come to think of it, I don't believe that anybody really fished bait throughout our Yellowtail frenzy. With weather being less than desirable we are headed North in hopes of catching some fish on the protected side of a big island.
