Dixon Lake catfish season is now over has been the BEST night fishing season ever. Good thing, triple digit heat has thinned out the crowds this weekend. However, the last 2 weeks have produced 4 monster fish over 13 lbs. This week does it AGAIN...several catfish tipped the scale at double digits.

The Dickerson father/son duo does it again, coming back to his spot the last 2 weekends, now his son Jed Jr. gets his hands on a 12 pounder on cut mackerel at the buoy line after getting a hold of a 17 pounder the weekend before. The scales are getting a work out with another near lake record with a monster 21 lb pounder caught in Trout Cove by William McKenzy of Valley Center. This catfish pulled so hard last weekend, him and his daughter went for a small boat ride. Best baits are cut mackerel, sardines and shrimp. Dixon has stocked a total 6000 lbs of catfish since the 1st of July.
