The DFG planted catchable-size trout this week in the following area waters: Tehama County- Deer Creek, South Fork Battle Creek; Plumas County- Hamilton Branch Creek, North Fork Feather river Almanor; Lassen County- Clear Creek, Silver Lake; Shasta County- Baum Lake, Clear Creek, Whiskeytown Lake, Grace Lake, Hatchet Creek, Iron Canyon Reservoir, Lower-Upper Burney Creek, Middle-Upper Hat Creek, Montgomery Creek, Whiskeytown Lake; Siskiyou County- Bullseye Lake, Kangaroo Lake, McCloud River Fowlers, Medicine Lake; Trinity County- Carrville Dredge Pond, East Fork Trinity River, Lewiston Lake, Trinity River.

8-31-2011Plenty of channel catfish were on the menu at Irvine Lake this past week, reported Jimmy Getty at the Pro Shop. "the catfish bite has been very good", observed Getty. "We are seeing lots of prime eating-size channel cats, plus a few larger ones. The catfish are hanging near structure and in lakebed depressions at anywhere form 2 to 20 feet." Irvine LakePlenty of eating-size channel catfish and chunky largemouth bass were the story at Irvine Lake this week, reported Jimmy Getty at the Pro Shop. "The catfish bite was pretty good in the evenings", observed Getty. "We did not have that many catfish anglers coming out this weekend, because of the Woodstock Reunion Concert.
