Lake Jennings will be open on Labor Day. As predicted the cats have moved out to deeper water. Hermit and Siesta Coves were nada! 3 Limits came to boaters by drifting night crawlers in 100 ft water at the buoyline. A double limit came to boaters right at the entrance of Half Moon in 30 to 40 ft. of water.

Best Cat Spots:
Bird trees, Buoyline and the entrance to the east side Half Moon Cove.

Best Cat Bait:
Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots:
Sentry and Eagle Point.

Best Bass Lures/Bait:
Dropshotting Arron's Magic or Morning Dawn 7" worms.

79 degrees on surface

Prognosis:
We have only 1 more weekend of night fishing and as always happens the cat bite will be steady and then heat up again shortly after our first stock of trout. Those cats are generally caught by trout anglers. We are seeing lots of shad on the fishfinder. The bass are suspended, making the bass difficult to target.
