Frank Lo Preste called in to report on their current 7 day trip, "We started out at Alijos Rocks and we got 25 tuna up to 100 lbs. the first day. Probably another 30 of those were eaten by sharks, we had a real shark problem; and a handful of Yellowtail.

The next day they had 13 of those nice Yellowfin, then we left that area and went to the Ridge. There we got limits of nice grade Yellowtail a handful of Bluefin which is the first is the first time either myself or Steve Lewiston ever remember Bluefin being caught on the shallows of the Ridge. So we have never seen that before, they had like 4 Bluefin there and a couple of 40 lb. tuna which would means that that place is going to come alive real quick.

We then worked a little further up where we got 15 Halibut up to 26 lbs. We have a lady angler named Susan, she is a great lady who has never been on a Long Range trip before and she has caught 4 of those big tuna, she caught herself a Bluefin already down there on the Ridge. She has a buch of Yellowtail, a 21 lb. Halibut yesterday.

Today this morning I know that the boat has 35 or 40 Bluefin aboard. We will be heading in now and expect to get in bright and early tomorrow.

Roy will be leaving on a 3 day trip and then I leave on a 5 day Chef's Special on Wednesday and I believe there a are 2 opening on that trip. So if somebody wants to jump on that now is the time. It is called the Chef's Special because we have some guest chefs besides our own chefs and you would not believe what the meals are like. It is out of this world, definitely not a trip to go on if you plan on losing some weight."
