"Good Evening Anglers," said the report from Intrepid August 13. "This morning we started offshore in Bluefin Country. It didn't take long to find a spot that wanted to bite and these were all on the larger side. We spent about an hour and a half having our butt's handed to us by these 40 to 60-pounders. The bite was almost instant, but only on the 30 to 40 pound line and no heavier. We landed 27 of these feisty fish with probably double that making it back to fight another day. We decided to run in to San Martin to finish up our last day with some different scenery and add some more variety to the mix, maybe some Halibut or Sea bass? Right now one of our anglers is engaged in an epic battle with what can only be a LARGE Black Sea Bass. 45 minutes and counting on this fish, (which will be released) that decided to bite right after dinner.

"Update... Scott Moll just successfully brought to the surface an estimated 350 pound Black Sea Bass. The hook was removed and the fish was lowered down using a reverse hook technique. What a great fish, maybe we will see him again some day."
