Kaufman Streamborn
The number of summer steelhead has been steadily increasing for the last month, the river has not been so friendly in its conditions. The flows have been either high, or when favorable weather, it gets colored. But, for the angler willing to watch, and go at a moment's notice, it could be well worth it. Sink tips and string leeches, marabou patterns, and the usual summer patterns can do the trick. Also, do not overlook a #2 Muddler Minnow fishing the "Swing & Hold" method in white frothy pockets and the head of shoots and runs. You can cover a lot of water quickly and easily with this method, helping you find that willing taker.
