The fishing for Salmon was good today with numerous boats reporting limits early in the morning. There was a good morning bite around 7:00 am but the main bite was from 9:00 - 10:00. The fish are still ranging from keepers to 30 + pound fish so be ready with the right gear. The best areas were from 36'47/121'53 to 36'42/121'53. The Salmon were being caught trolling down 120-190 feet in 220-255 feet of water. The best lures were Purple Haze Kajikis, Blue Kajikis, Watermelon Apexes, Red Krocodiles, Watermelon Tom Mack Spoons, and Glow Krippled Anchovies. The water was nice all morning but there was some afternoon wind. There were some Halibut caught near the Lighthouse in the shallow water. The Capitola Wharf is still going good with scores of Halibut, Seabass, and Striped Bass of the Wharf in 10-15 feet of water. The Rockcod was good near the Lighthouse and near Natural Bridges.
