"Our morning bite was good today," said the report from Intrepid July 21, "for both Yellowfin and more quality Tails. As gray light came on, so did the action, fast action for the first couple of hours. There were times when we were very busy trying to keep up with it all. The kite was going good, with the candy baits and flyers producing most of the explosive bites. When 2:00 pm came around and the fish went away as they have the last few days, we had made our best day of the trip here at Alijos Rocks. This afternoon we made some drifts in the shallows and had a ball catching Cabrilla and more Yellows. We are now headed Northbound and will stop again tomorrow afternoon for a while before continuing up the line."
