For Lahontans, Grimes and Blue (north of Spectacle) are excellent bets.?? Damsel nymphs are demanding the big cutts' attention daily, as will Callibaetis nymphs, chironomids and bloodworms.?? Leeches and Dragons in the evening (or night!).

Chopaka has provided some very large rainbows, but their numbers are down, with Smallie numbers up.?? Crowds are down, too, though, so might be worth meeting some "piggy fish" on Damsels, Callibaetis, Chironomids, etc?Ķ?? before it gets re-habbed this fall.??

Damsel time is upon us, and there's been some good reports coming from Aeneas, Sinlahekin Blue, Big Twin and others.?? Given a couple, few days, this area is well worth the small journey!

5 hours NORTH OF SEATTLE
Kamloops/Merritt/Little Fort area lakes are running "early" as well.?? Think "March" in late May/early June.?? We'll keep a finger on the pulse of these lakes, and will update as soon as things get going (starting with deep-water chironomiding!).

Salmonfly adults have moved upstream of Maupin, while Goldens are appearing in solid numbers.?? Big Golden adults should provide heady, reliable action over the next week or two.?? Caddis and PED's are well-established events that could divert the trout's focus away from the big bugs when available, with a few PMD's and the promise of Green Drakes also upon us.?? Have fun!
