We had a great time on our SFR charter aboard the ALOHA SPIRIT out of CHANNEL ISLANDS SPORTFISHING CENTER. Our target for the trip was White Seabass, as luck would have it the White Seabass had other ideas for this day. We fished Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands in search of these elusive grey ghosts, and they lived up their name on this day. On the other hand the barracuda decided to give us all the action we could handle, and kept the cries of fresh one going throughout the day. We had our share of bat rays getting folks excited for a couple minutes until you realized it was not the right kind. One lucky angler George Lukas managed to entice a 15 pound Halibut to bite and land the jackpot fish for the trip.
