Oh! Just a Another Typical Truckee Brown Trout

"Gilligan's" buddy Micheal has been trying to get him to take him out for about three years now. Everytime he comes it snows, or the rivers blown, or we're just to lazy to put the waders on. Even though he's a city kid, he ain't to bad with the graphite.

Michael grew up near the Henry's Fork, and this is the biggest trout he's caught. This is one of the fattest browns I've seen to date, come out of the Truckee River. He ate a G-6 Caddis Pupa. The fish are about as big and strong as I've ever seen.

Most folks are doing well from the town of Truckee down to the Boca inflow. Flows are good up there, and just about every bug is out flying around. Fly Selection: Pmds, lil' yellow stones, goldens, drakes, and caddis are on the menu. Water Conditions: The flows are still in the 1400 range down below Boca, but the water is clear to Gray's Creek and the fishing is good.
