Fish Report for 7-5-2011
New hogan is yielding a nice crop of 2 to 5 lb. stripers
7-5-2011
Bruce Hamby
Striper bite remains wide open! Each week our daily catch has increased. Although the stripe bass are not as big as last years, were catching 2 to 5 lb. fish in good numbers. Still fun on lite tackle. The linesides are falling for rolling shad and anchovies along with Pro Cure scent. As day time temps heat up we're finding good rod action in the deeper waters of the main lake. Start out in the 10 to 15 feet range, gradually move down 30 to 40 feet by late morning. Water conditions still ideal for fishing. However water levels are beginning to recede. Surface temp 80 degrees.
Our main picture shows Dale Monday and Brandon Singleton with a nice catch. Our next picture gives kudos to Jason Marlow for his catch.
