Hello Anglers, Today we spent the morning on the Cleofas Bank and picked up 15 tuna 70 to 85 pounds. Around 1100 we picked the anchor up and went looking for porpoise and bird schools. We were along side the Royal in a area of birds and porpoise and there was good sign of 150 to 220 pound Yellowfin in this area. We hit three spots of fish and they put on a incredible show for us. Even with the fish boiling in the corner we were only able to hook 8 fish and landed 3 of them.

The first was a 170 pound Yellowfin caught by John McDonald. the second was caught by David (Rocky) Rocchi. The third was caught by Mike Mings who runs the Pacific Eagle in Port Hueneme. His fish was caught on a mackerel and 100 pound and his fish was right at 200 pounds. His fish is pictured coming over the rail below.

Tomorrow we are going to be out in this area and trying to find this bigger fish again. Until Tomorrow.
