Bass and Panfish are biting at Diamond Valley Lake

Weather:
Sunny with light wind becoming stronger in the afternoon. Forecasts show high temperatures in the 80's and 90's this week. Bees and rattlesnakes are out this time of year so always be cautious when going on trails and shoreline! Please come in the Marina store and tell us your fish stories!

BASS
Plenty of small bass caught on plastics. Watermelon and green pumpkin senkos along with morning dawn and purple colored plastics have been working well. Larger fish are being caught in deeper water with several fish over 5 lbs reported this week. Many smallmouth being reported by fishermen dropshotting plastic worms.

TROUT
Trout fishing has been slow.

STRIPER
It has been slow for bait fishermen, however the shad are starting to show on the north shore coves. We assume the stripers will not be far behind. Joseph Soto of Riverside caught a 7 lb. striper with a nightcrawler.

CATFISH
Catfish reported this week caught on mackerel weighing anywhere from 5-8 lbs! Nightcrawlers have been productive as well.

PANFISH
Bluegill fishing still excellent! Lots of limits using nightcrawlers and crickets. The redear bite has been excellent for those fishermen who know where to find them. Yuvia of Hemet (shown in picture above) caught a 1.2lb bluegill, Good job Yuvia!

BASS Bass Fishing has been good with lots of small fish caught on plastics. Watermelon and green pumpkin senkos along with morning dawn and purple colored plastics have been working well. BASS Bass Fishing has been good with lots of small fish caught on plastics. Early morning has been good with senkos and some topwater lures. Watermelon and green pumpkin senkos along with morning dawn colored plastics have been producing well. Don Campbell caught a whopping 8lb Largemouth with a natural shad senko in Rawson Cove.
