6-25-2011
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Well ladies and gents the seabass are here, and they are not small. Toad after toad has been pulled up from the depths on many of our sportfishing boats. The Speed Twin had 3 on its  ? day run up to 45lbs. The Channel Isle has been hitting the bass hard on their twilight with great calico and sand bass counts and a seabass or 2 on multiple trips. The full day boats have been slaying the ghosts as well with Capt Shawn Steward of the Aloha Sprit decking 56 of these big biscuits, some over 50lbs. our mid-sized sport boats the Island Tak, Sea Jay and Cobra have also scored big on the seabass and huge halibuts mixed in. As usual the boats are also filling bags with quality rockfish and tasty lings. The barracuda are still around making angling fun on light tackle. The overnight boats have been on the big flattys all week with flat fish up to 51lbs. The Mirage scored big today with limits of white seabass for 23 people, that's 69 ghosts for team Mirage. We have overnight, full day,  ? day and half day boats running daily. And don't forget our Twilight trips are now running 7 days a week! Call our friendly staff today to make reservations or simply book online.
