Hello Anglers,

Today we were looking to catch bluefin in the area we got our albacore. We trolled big lures around all day hoping to get a lone big eye tuna but that did not happen for us. We got a few albacore jig strikes through out the day but we released all the albacore bait fish. There was a few bluefin mixed in the albacore in the morning hours but not enough to give us much encouragement. The afternoon was slow up until 1500 when we got on a school of straight bluefin that were not very eager but let us keep one of them hooked all the time. When that spot of fish went away we found another spot of 25 to 40 pound bluefin that was a little more eager and we kept one to eight fish going all of the time until dark. For the day we ended up doing very well on the bluefin and released around 25 albacore for the day. The first picture I am sending is of Justin Fleck holding a bluefin on the gaff for Mike Sogioka.
