Hello Anglers,

Today we spent our day in the beautiful surroundings of Guadalupe Island. We caught yellowfin all day from before daylight to just before dark. There was only one period throughout the day that we did not have at least one fish on and most of the time we had two or more going . The grade of the fish that we caught was 20 to 35 pounds with some 40 to 70 pound yellowfin mixed in.We lost one fish at the gaff that was between 100 and 120 pounds and a couple more of the 70 pound models. All of our fish were caught on flylined sardines with the exceptions of one on a squid and two on the (yummy flyers), thanks Tim and Basil. We are going to anchor up in a little shallower water tonight and see if we can pick up a couple of trophy yellowtail in the dark and get anchored back up in the morning to try for tuna until 1000 hours when we will have to leave for home.
