Hello Anglers,
Well, I can say that those of you who did not want to come on this trip because we could not go to the islands are missing out considerably. Another memorable day today for our anglers here on the Excel. We had 30 yellowfin for the day and seven fish over 200 pounds today with five of them being personal bests for a few lucky anglers. John (Buzzsaw) Hans had his personal best with a 251 pound yellowfin. Allan Lewis had his best with a 231 pound yellowfin. Kohtaro Terahira had his best first with a 182 pound yellowfin and the next drift he caught a 210 pounder. Basil Pappas had a 243 pound yellowfin for his best so far.Dan Felger added to his 200 pound pile with a 227, and a 210. And finally Big Al Scow picked up a 205 pound yellowfin. Our average fish weighed 170 pounds today with a couple that were around 190 pound. We still have 5 days of fishing left and starting tomorrow we are going to be releasing anything under 180 pounds to make sure that we have room for just big ones. Hopefully we can keep picking at these big ones.Wish us luck. Reported by: Shawn Steward
