Hello Anglers,
Today was a very long day for us with a flat calm ocean and a little rain in the morning. We drove around all day until 1530 before we even caught a fish. When we did find a school it was just what the doctor ordered after a long day of driving around. The yellowfin bit pretty steady and they did not seem to mind biting into the dark because we gaffed our last fish at 1750. The fish were not giants by any standard but they were a solid 20 to 25 pound average with a few 35 pound fish mixed in.A very nice way to end the year. Tomorrow we are going to fish for yellowtail and other bottom grabbers so we will check in tomorrow. Have a safe and happy new year from all of us on the Excel, Shawn and the crew P.S. Lorena, Jordan says he misses you very much
