PACIFIC QUEST CHARTER

6-23-2011
Don Padick

SFR teamed up with Captain Josh Walton and the Pacific Quest for back to back over nighters to Catalina Island in search of some of the white seabass that have been biting lately. Captain Josh and the Pacific Quest crew have been having a great season putting numerous anglers in position to score on a quality seabass. Conditions for day one were calm, in fact a little too calm, lack of current made for tough fishing conditions up and down the island. We were able to land three nice white seabass and three legal halibut for our days fishing effort. Not a bad day at all. Day two didn't see conditions improve much, but we did land one nice 30 plus pound seabass. Conditions have rebounded since last week and Captain Josh has put together numerous impressive scores of seabass this week. Check their website at www.questsportfishing.comfor their entire open party schedule. They have numerous trips on the books targeting WSB before moving down south to san Diego for the start of the tuna season. Openings include a two day leaving friday night and overnight trips all next week.
