Hello Anglers,
This morning started out with a bang with 16 fish being caught in our one and a half hour window that started at 0430.Dennis Braid used a skipjack to catch a fat yellowfin that taped out at 196 pounds. Tom Carlisle picked up a 223 pound yellowfin on a sardine and a sinker. Charles (Doc) Patterson picked up a yellowfin that taped out at 202 pounds on a sardine and a sinker.Tom Howe caught a 184 pound yellowfin and there was 5 more fish in the 170 to 180 pound category. The rest were from 90 to 150 pounds. During the daylight hours we picked up a few wahoo and yellowfin from 90 to 140 pounds. We hooked a big fish on a chunk in the middle of the day that felt like a really big one, we could not budge the fish and finally the hook pulled out it was lost. The wahoo put on a good show but would not bite very good for us. After dinner we got another good hit on the fish at 2200 and it lasted until 0945 and we picked up 14 fish from 150 to 205 pounds and the big one was caught by Bruce(Gunny) Kates on a sardine and a sinker rig.We are very happy to add three more 200 pound fish to our tally and we are hoping to get a few more in the morning. Wish us luck. Shawn and the crew
