Hello Anglers,
Today we departed from Fisherman's at 0800 on our annual Mikkelsen 18 day trip. We cleared Point Loma at 1030 with a beautiful load of 5-7 inch sardines and are headed south. The weather is perfect and the seas are flat calm. Wish us luck... J U S T I N

4-26-2004Hello Anglers, The last few days have been pretty slow. We spent the 26th at Guadalupe island in beautiful weather and we picked some quality yellowtail to 50 pounds and had some good surface iron action on yellows and calico bass. The next day, the 27th we fished offshore for albacore until 1400 and we had a series of single jigstrikes on albies from 10 to 18 pounds. We had a stop in the morning on 20 to 30 pound albies...... Hello Anglers, Today we looked offshore all day for Albacore and bluefin but were not able to connect with either one.We had a couple of stops on the albacore where they boiled up but we were not able to get them to bite and we stopped on a spot of 70 to 80 pound bluefin that were jumping around but they just laid under the boat and would not bite.
